This marks a significant move to introduce Indian cinema to a wider international audience.
The film's journey to Japan includes the release of a newly dubbed Japanese trailer and promotional posters featuring the protagonist, Pushpa Raj. "Pushpa 2: The Rule" has already proven to be a massive success in India, achieving "industry hit" status following its December 5, 2024, release. The movie aims to build on the critical and commercial acclaim of its predecessor, with its narrative reportedly incorporating an "international flavour."
