Actor Yoon Chan-young confirmed that his character, Lee Cheong-san, is alive during Netflix Korea's 10th anniversary event on October 25, 2026. This revelation addresses a significant cliffhanger from the first season of the zombie thriller, All of Us Are Dead.
The festival appearance marked the show's return to the spotlight after its renewal in June 2022. Co-star Park Ji-hu, who plays Nam On-jo, expressed relief, while Yoon Chan-young hinted at missed connections.
Season 2 is set to explore the characters as university students and adults, facing a more evolved zombie threat. Cho Yi-hyun will reprise her role as the half-zombie Choi Nam-ra, and Lomon returns as Lee Su-hyeok, now an adult.
Filming for the second season took place between July 2025 and February 2026, with director Lee Jae-kyu and writer Chun Sung-il returning. While Netflix provided no teaser or release date, an early 2027 arrival is anticipated.
The upcoming season will shift the narrative beyond Hyosan High School, with a new outbreak threatening Seoul. The first season achieved global success after its 2022 release.
