19 Aug
Summary
- Former Binge content chief starts new production business.
- Made Up Stories partners to focus on Australian content.
- The Set Up will package premium series with IP and talent.

Alison Hurbert-Burns, formerly the content chief at Binge, has initiated a new production venture named The Set Up. This new company is a collaboration with Bruna Papandrea and Steve Hutensky, the co-founders of Made Up Stories. Made Up Stories executives Casey Haver, Jeanne Snow, and Katie Amos will also be part of The Set Up's leadership team.
The Set Up, based in Sydney, will concentrate on packaging high-quality series featuring Australian intellectual property, talent, and financing. These projects will then be offered to broadcasters and streamers both within Australia and internationally. This initiative allows Made Up Stories to continue its existing slate of U.S. and global projects while The Set Up carves out a niche focusing solely on Australian productions.
