Filmmaker Egor Abramenko, acclaimed for the sci-fi horror 'Sputnik,' is set to direct a new film based on Nick Antosca's short story. The script, penned by Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins, follows a young engaged couple, Rob and Sabile, whose mountain wedding is disrupted by uninvited guests.
Anton is financing the project and managing worldwide rights, with production scheduled to commence this spring. This new venture marks another collaboration for Abramenko, who previously worked with production designer Masha Slavina on 'Altar' and 'Sputnik.'
Wilde, a fast-rising Australian actress, stars in the film following her success in A24's 'Talk To Me' and 'Babygirl.' Her previous acting credits include 'Boy Swallows Universe' and 'Everything Now.'
Additional casting is currently in progress, and the film is produced by Sébastien Raybaud, Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Dawn Olmstead, and Nick Shumaker. Anonymous Content's David Levine and Garrett Kemble are executive producers.
