Return to Xenomorph Terror: Isolation Sequel Confirmed

Creative Assembly is developing a sequel to their acclaimed 2014 game, Alien: Isolation. This follow-up aims to recapture the taut, survival-horror atmosphere that made the original a fan favorite. Details reveal a new protagonist, Blake, a Weyland-Yutani employee, who will explore a hostile planet. This new character replaces Amanda Ripley, allowing for a fresh narrative.

The sequel will feature the xenomorph adapting to hunt in outdoor environments, a significant departure from the interior-focused gameplay of the first game. Players will need to utilize core survival skills while facing an alien that has been trained to hunt in the exteriors. The game will retain the low-fi sci-fi universe inspired by the original Alien film.

The story is set months after the events of Alien: Isolation. A Weyland-Yutani survey team discovers a crashed vessel on a planet that blends elements of LV-426 and a forest environment. The vessel itself is familiar to fans, having been jettisoned from Sevastopol station in the first game. The possibility of other antagonists, such as Working Joes or hostile humans, remains, continuing the 'rock, paper, scissors' dynamic from the original.
