Alice Cooper's Shocking Confession: No Responsibility for Ex's Pregnancy
12 Oct
Summary
- Alice Cooper admitted he felt no responsibility when his ex got pregnant.
- The rock legend's band lacked funds for an abortion procedure.
- His ex-girlfriend eventually arranged and paid for the abortion herself.

Alice Cooper candidly discussed a past relationship with ex-girlfriend Cindy Lang in his recent memoir, 'Devil on My Shoulder.' Lang became pregnant while they were together for about a year in the late 1960s. Cooper confessed in the book that he felt no responsibility, despite his parents' disapproval of their relationship and Lang's pregnancy.
He explained that both he and Lang were too afraid to confirm the pregnancy, and the couple lacked the financial means to afford an abortion. At the time, Cooper's band was not earning enough to cover the significant cost. Consequently, Lang made the decision to have an abortion and managed to gather the necessary funds herself for the procedure in Detroit.
Cooper, who met Lang in 1967 and dated her for six years until 1975, expressed regret over his inability to even afford a plane ticket for her to travel for the procedure. Lang, whom he described as gorgeous, smart, and funny, passed away in 2017.
