Alia Bhatt graced the runway on Saturday night, turning heads as the showstopper for Manish Malhotra's Mijwan Fashion Show in Mumbai. She was resplendent in an ivory couture ensemble, intricately detailed with chikankari, sequins, and floral motifs.

The show served as a powerful platform for the Mijwan Welfare Society, an initiative that empowers women artisans in Uttar Pradesh through their exquisite chikankari embroidery. Designer Manish Malhotra has collaborated with the society since 2010, fostering sustained employment and showcasing traditional Indian craftsmanship on global fashion stages.

Bhatt's lehenga-inspired silhouette, paired with a modern cropped blouse and a veil-like dupatta, created a look that was both vintage and contemporary. The intricate handwork and subtle makeup allowed the detailed embroidery and sparkling diamond jewelry to truly shine.

The partnership between Malhotra and Mijwan Welfare Society has, over more than a decade, helped revive chikankari and provide livelihoods for hundreds of women.
