Actress Ali Larter has found a more peaceful existence in Idaho, a significant change from her previous life in Los Angeles. She and her husband, Hayes MacArthur, moved their two children to Idaho in 2020, a decision that has proven to be lasting.

Larter described her summers in Idaho as much simpler. The days are longer, with daylight extending late into the evening, allowing for activities like bike rides and barbecues with her family. She also enjoys casual outings, like getting ice cream with her children.

The family's move was initially prompted by the pandemic, with the intention of a temporary stay. However, the appeal of Idaho's open schools and the genuine connection with local families led them to reconsider their permanent residence.

Larter noted that the demands of acting in Los Angeles, which include frequent auditions and social obligations, contrasted sharply with her desire for a more family-oriented lifestyle. This realization solidified their decision to make Idaho their permanent home, prioritizing time with their children over city life.

Larter recently attended the Newport Beach TV Fest, where she discussed her role in "Landman." She plays Angela, a character she described as a "wildcat," wishing she could embody that spirit more in her own life.
