Wizards Spinoff: Alex Russo Not Dead, Actor Confirms

New installments of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiered on August 4, 2026, on Disney Channel and are available on Disney+. David Henrie has addressed fan concerns regarding the season 2 finale, clarifying that Alex Russo was not killed off. Henrie stated that Alex was simply pulled into a void, a detail many viewers misinterpreted as her demise.

Henrie reassured fans that Alex is "tougher than you think" and that her fate will be explored in the upcoming third season. He acknowledged the online chatter but emphasized that the writers "never in our wildest dreams" intended to kill the character. The final season will aim to provide a satisfying conclusion for the series.

Season 3 follows Billie as she navigates rescuing her mother by reuniting with her father. To save Alex, Billie and her family must combine their powers to defeat an evil force. Henrie hopes the finale offers a warm embrace to fans, echoing the show's original values of family and mutual support.
