Pop singer Alessia Cara has launched her own concert series, "Giant Desk," after NPR repeatedly declined to feature her in its popular Tiny Desk Concerts. The "Giant Desk" video, released on June 10th, 2026, begins with a logo mimicking NPR's branding.
Cara expressed her frustration, stating, "Tiny Desk has refused to have me on now, many times." The "Giant Desk" concert showcases six songs, including material from her new album, Love or Lack Thereof, and a rendition of her hit "Stay." The performance concludes with her song "Here," which reflects feelings of bitterness and annoyance.
Cara referred to the event as "the first episode -- and maybe the only episode -- of Giant Desk," suggesting her dissatisfaction with the situation may persist.
