Alena Smith Tackles Boarding School Drama at Netflix

Alena Smith is set to develop an original drama series titled 'All Boys' for Netflix. The upcoming series is planned to be set within the walls of an all-boys boarding school located in New England.

The narrative will center on a teacher who is himself an alumnus of the institution. This middle-aged educator, while managing his own midlife challenges and family life, will strive to prepare the young male students for their futures.

Smith, the creator and writer, is recognized for her work on the Apple TV+ series 'Dickinson.' This acclaimed show, which explored the early life of poet Emily Dickinson with a modern twist, concluded after three seasons and earned a Peabody Award.

In addition to 'All Boys,' Smith's recent projects include an Audrey Hepburn biopic and executive producing the FX limited series 'Cry Wolf.' Her television career began as a staff writer for HBO's 'The Newsroom' and she also contributed to Showtime's 'The Affair.'
