Alan Ritchson Stars in 70s Detroit Crime Thriller

Alan Ritchson is set to star in "Motor City," a crime thriller unfolding in the vibrant setting of 1970s Detroit. The narrative centers on John Miller, who finds his life shattered when he falls for a gangster's girlfriend and is subsequently framed.

Driven by a thirst for vengeance, Miller plots an elaborate campaign against the man who wronged him, aiming to reclaim what was lost. The film promises an adrenaline-fueled experience.

"Motor City" is scheduled for a wide release in U.S. theaters on July 24, 2026. It will premiere in the Venezia Spotlight section of the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, with an additional screening at the Toronto festival.

Previously, the project saw several potential stars and directors attached before Ritchson joined in 2023. Directed by Potsy Ponciroli, the film has a runtime of 103 minutes and is noted for its sparse dialogue.
