Akshaye Khanna's Drishyam 3 Exit: Wig Wars?

Akshaye Khanna has unexpectedly exited the pre-production of 'Drishyam 3,' a development that has surprised fans eager to see him reprise his role. Producer Kumar Mangat disclosed that the actor's departure stemmed from a disagreement over his character's appearance. Khanna reportedly insisted on wearing a wig, a request director Abhishek Pathak found impractical due to continuity concerns, especially since the film picks up immediately after the previous installment.

Mangat described Khanna's exit, which occurred just 12 days before the scheduled shoot, as highly unprofessional. He indicated that Khanna had initially agreed to the director's concerns but later reversed his decision, allegedly influenced by external advice. This abrupt exit has caused significant financial losses for the production team, prompting them to issue a legal notice to Khanna for breaching their agreement.

Director Abhishek Pathak corroborated the account, emphasizing that Khanna's proposed look with a wig would have disrupted the film's established continuity. While Jaideep Ahlawat has joined the cast, his role is entirely new and not a replacement for Khanna, playing a new SP Crime Branch officer investigating the Salgaonkar case.
