Nightmare Night: Cricket Bet Plunges Star Wannabe into Chaos
30 Jul
Summary
- Wannabe star Ajay faces dire consequences after losing a cricket bet.
- He has only one night to repay a notorious club owner.
- Ajay's chaotic attempts to solve the problem spiral out of control.

A film centered on a single, tumultuous night follows Ajay, an aspiring superstar desperate for fame and fortune. After a lost cricket bet, he owes money to the menacing club owner Fatty, with only one night to pay it back. His sister, Natasha, refuses to help, while her own evening is disrupted by an obsessive ex-boyfriend, Sid. The situation further complicates as Ajay's girlfriend, Roshni, who is Sid's sister, gets entangled in the escalating madness.
The directorial debut of Vivek B. Agrawal, the film struggles with a chaotic screenplay and inconsistent execution. The narrative feels exhausting and confusing, lacking the sharp writing and genuinely funny situations expected from such a premise. While Raghav Juyal delivers an energetic performance, it often veers into overacting. Other actors are similarly hampered by repetitive dialogue and weak jokes.
Amidst the chaos, the female characters offer some relief. Niharika NM provides amusing lines, and Parvathy Omanakuttan stands out with a well-written, independent character. Composer Amit Trivedi's music adds some vibrancy. Despite its premise of a single night, the movie feels interminable, failing to deliver the madcap comedy it aims to be.
