Devgn's Next Explores Afterlife Inspired by Garuda Puran

Ajay Devgn is venturing into horror once more with Rohit Jugraj's 'Griha Pravesh'. The film, inspired by the ancient Sanskrit text 'Garuda Puran,' will feature Devgn in a supernatural role with morally ambiguous characteristics. This marks his return to such complex characters after a gap of 21 years since his role in 'Kaal' (2005). The 'Garuda Puran' explores themes of karma, rebirth, and the soul's journey after death, which are reportedly central to Devgn's character.

Production for 'Griha Pravesh' is slated to begin in September. The initial shooting schedule will take place in Mumbai, focusing on introducing the main characters within a set designed to resemble a British home. Following this, the production team will move to the UK to complete the remaining portions. This revised schedule allows for better time management due to Devgn's prior commitments, including hosting 'Crime Patrol' and finishing the film 'Ranger'.

The upcoming film is described as a departure from conventional horror, promising a unique narrative. Devgn's schedule after 'Griha Pravesh' includes promotions for 'Drishyam 3' in October and commencing work on the thriller 'Chauhaan' in December. This collaboration reunites Devgn with director Rohit Jugraj, who previously worked with Devgn on 'Bhoot' (2003).
