Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network is set to revive some of its most memorable shows for a new audience. Ravi Adhikari, chairman of the company, revealed ambitious plans to reboot iconic series.
Shows like Suraag and Yes Boss are confirmed for reboot, with ongoing discussions for Commander and a potential revival of Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle. The strong viewership of older shows on YouTube, particularly Suraag and Shrimaan Shrimati, inspired these revival efforts.
Artificial Intelligence is a key component of the revival strategy. For Shrimaan Shrimati, AI will be employed to recreate deceased actors Jatin Kanakia and Reema Lagoo, using original audio to generate new visuals. Permissions will be secured from their families.
Adhikari believes familiar IPs resonate due to their recall value, comparing it to familiar faces in a crowd. He also highlighted the necessity of precise human guidance for AI, emphasizing it as a tool that saves time and money but requires clear instructions.
The company is also collaborating with the Stage app for AI content creation, aiming to explore AI's potential across various regional languages. Adhikari foresees AI integrating into filmmaking, similar to CGI, rather than entirely replacing human roles.
He also addressed job concerns, stating that while AI might displace some roles, it will concurrently create new employment opportunities, requiring individuals to adapt and evolve. This hybrid approach suggests a future where AI augments, rather than supplants, human creativity in entertainment.
