A new era of filmmaking is dawning as Steven Schneider, the producer behind 'Paranormal Activity,' teams up with AI production studios Artlist and Secret Level. Together, they are developing a feature film titled 'Terrarium,' described as a 'hybrid horror feature' currently in production.
Jason Zada, director of 'The Forest,' is writing and directing 'Terrarium,' with Christina Lee Storm producing for Secret Level. Artlist is financing the project and serving as an Executive Producer. Schneider expressed his excitement about Zada's unique ability to create inexplicable and lasting audience experiences.
Schneider stated that Zada is exploring entirely new creative avenues with 'Terrarium,' utilizing filmmaking methods unseen in his two decades of genre work. Artlist, an AI technology platform for video production, and Secret Level, an AI-native entertainment studio, are at the forefront of this innovative approach.
Artlist Co-Founder and Co-CEO Ira Belsky highlighted this partnership as a significant milestone for both the company and the future of filmmaking. Belsky affirmed that 'Terrarium' demonstrates AI's potential to augment the creative process, enabling artists to achieve greater scope and execution, thereby expanding creative boundaries rather than supplanting human ingenuity.
