Ahsaas Channa Shines in Netflix's Heartwarming 'Greater Kalesh'

Ahsaas Channa is stepping into a new phase of her career with the release of 'Greater Kalesh', her first solo-led Netflix film. Directed by Aditya Chandiok and produced by Terribly Tiny Tales, the Diwali special explores the bonds and tensions of family life. The warm, heartfelt storytelling has already captured the attention of audiences.

Ahsaas reflects on her experience portraying the character of Twinkle Handa, a young woman who returns home for a surprise Diwali visit. She notes that Twinkle's calmness and thoughtfulness marked a departure from her previous roles, which often leaned towards mischief and expressiveness. "We wanted her to be completely different from anything I've done before," Ahsaas shared. "She's calm, she thinks before she reacts, she's not performative. Playing her felt like growing up on screen."

The actress also praised director Aditya Chandiok, calling him "the warmest director" she has worked with. Ahsaas expressed her excitement about starring in her first solo-led Netflix film, stating, "To have your face on a Netflix poster is surreal!" She emphasized the significance of finding a creative home with the streaming platform, as 'Greater Kalesh' is her third project with Netflix, with two more in the works for next year.
