AHS: Ranking the Show's Most Iconic Characters
16 Oct
Summary
- American Horror Story is celebrated for its compelling characters.
- Season 13 revisits beloved characters from the show's history.
- Character ranking focuses on arc, impact, and entertainment value.
Since its 2011 debut, American Horror Story has captivated audiences with inventive themes and macabre mythology. However, its most significant contribution to television is arguably its diverse cast of characters. These ill-fated figures, rarely finding happy endings, draw viewers into the series' unique horror universe.
The 13th season of "AHS" leans heavily on this character-driven foundation. Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have brought back actors and their memorable alter egos for a thematic mashup. This satanic-centric season serves as a chaotic exercise in fan service, with successes varying.
The ranking of the series' best characters prioritizes their arc, impact, and entertainment value over pure performance. The article notes that "AHS13" predominantly features characters from the first eight seasons, considered the show's best work, even acknowledging the series' uneven aging.
