Ahmed Khan on Shahid Kapoor: 'We'll work again'

Filmmaker Ahmed Khan has addressed speculation surrounding his relationship with actor Shahid Kapoor, affirming their deep, decades-long friendship originating in childhood. Khan notably choreographed Kapoor's first on-screen appearance in the Aryans' music video 'Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra' and also worked on Kapoor's debut film 'Ishq Vishk'.

Their professional collaborations continued with films such as 'Fool & Final' and 'Paathshala'. However, Khan explained that recent years have seen them pursue distinct cinematic projects. He noted that Kapoor is following a specific film template, while Khan is creating films aligning with his own artistic vision.

Despite their divergent paths, Khan expressed optimism about reuniting for a future project. He stated that a collaboration would occur when their creative sensibilities align and they discover a script appealing to both. He also candidly shared that while they remain close friends, their busy lifestyles mean they no longer meet as frequently as they did in their youth.

Khan also reflected on his current close circle, mentioning his two sons, Azaan (25) and Subhaan (19), as his primary friends. Their conversations now frequently revolve around cinema and contemporary filmmaking, adding a new dimension to his personal life.
