Buscemi & Quinn Unite for Shepard's 'Ages of the Moon'

Filming has concluded for "Ages of the Moon," a feature adaptation of Sam Shepard's acclaimed play. Steve Buscemi and Aidan Quinn, who also directed the project, star in this two-hander. Oren Moverman adapted the script for the film, which was shot in upstate New York.

The narrative centers on Ames and Byron, two lifelong friends reunited at an isolated cabin. Their reunion, fueled by bourbon, leads them to confront a shared past filled with old grievances and rivalries. As they await a rare lunar event, their bond is tested, culminating in a violent emotional turn.

Echoing the original play's premiere at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, the film will feature a country music soundtrack. The production boasts an extensive list of producers, including Michaela McKee, Wren Arthur, John Harris, and Eyal Rimmon, with Liam Neeson serving as an executive producer.
