The film is the directorial debut of Aaron Wheeler and is produced by Slick Films, the indie label that won an Oscar for its short "The Silent Child."
The film's protagonist is Cam Cameron, an electronics lecturer and father, who embarks on a grueling test of endurance by trying to spend two months on the desolate granite islet situated 230 miles west of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. Rockall is a hugely well-known location in the UK, as it is featured in the iconic daily Shipping Forecast, which has been broadcast for over a century.
Only a handful of people have ever spent a single night on Rockall, and the previous record for staying there is just 45 days. Cameron's ambitious effort to survive for 60 days on the island is a testament to his bravery and determination, as he faces the brutal conditions and isolation of the North Atlantic. The film not only explores the true meaning of adventure but also delves into Cameron's personal journey, as his quest becomes a means to reconnect with his family after years of loss.
