The Cure follows Ally Braun, an adopted 16-year-old suffering from a mysterious illness, who discovers her biotech billionaire parents, played by David Dastmalchian and Ashley Greene, are harvesting her blood for sinister purposes. Newcomer Samantha Cochran stars as Ally, with the supporting cast including Sydney Taylor, Tyler Lawrence Gray, and Dylan Flashner.
Directed by Nancy Leopardi, who also produced the film, The Cure is described as "a satirical take on the modern billionaire class cloaked in a crowd-pleasing thriller." She believes the movie is on the "cusp of a revolution in science" and explores the question of "who will benefit?"
