Adarsh Gourav is set to star in 'Gangster on the Run,' a feature adaptation based on Puja Changoiwala's nonfiction book. The film will depict the remarkable journey of a Mumbai gangster who transformed into a marathon-running social worker. Prosit Roy will direct the project, which was unveiled at the Film Bazaar in Goa.
The narrative focuses on Rahul Jadhav, once a feared sharpshooter, whose path through violence and addiction led to self-reflection and rehabilitation. Today, Jadhav dedicates his life to helping at-risk youth avoid criminal lifestyles. Gourav expressed excitement for the role, highlighting its depth and transformative potential, while director Roy noted the story's universal emotional power.
Produced by Sidharth Jain, Kanchan Marathe, and Rohit Vedprakash, the film has secured initial financing from Filmoney Ink. The project is being positioned as a prestige global true-crime drama, with producers actively pursuing international co-production opportunities at events like Content London.
