Actress Daddario Ponders White Lotus Character's Future

In November 2025, actress Alexandra Daddario, who played the character of Rachel on the first season of the Emmy-winning HBO series The White Lotus, shared her thoughts on what might have become of her character in the years since.

Daddario, 39, believes that in her mind, Rachel, a young freelance writer, has likely remained married to her wealthy and entitled husband Shane (Jake Lacy). "In my mind she stayed with him. And what does that look like four years down the road? And did they have kids? There's a lot of directions that could go in," Daddario said.

However, the actress admitted she hasn't had the chance to catch up on the latest season of The White Lotus, which aired earlier this year and featured a new ensemble cast. "I have not turned the television on since the birth of my child," Daddario explained, noting that she's been too busy to keep up with the show.

Despite her absence from the latest installment, Daddario is currently starring in the new LGBTQ+ coming-of-age drama I Wish You All the Best, which she calls an "important story." The film follows a North Carolina woman who takes in her nonbinary sibling after they're kicked out of their home by their unaccepting parents.
