Actress Anupama Parameswaran Fights Back Against Cyberbully's Harassment

On November 6th, 2025, actress Anupama Parameswaran announced that she has taken legal action against a 20-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu for targeting her with a harassment campaign on social media. According to Parameswaran, she recently discovered an Instagram profile that was sharing highly inappropriate and false content about her and her family, including morphed pictures and baseless allegations.

Further investigation revealed that the same individual had created multiple fake accounts to spread similar false claims against Parameswaran. Deeply distressed by this targeted online harassment, the actress filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police in Kerala. The authorities responded promptly and efficiently, and with their assistance, they were able to identify the person behind these activities.

Considering the young age of the accused, Parameswaran has chosen not to disclose her identity, as she does not wish to compromise the individual's future or peace of mind. However, the actress emphasized that owning a smartphone or having access to social media platforms does not give anyone the right to harass, defame, or spread hatred against others. Parameswaran stated that the legal action has been initiated, and the individual will face the consequences of her actions.
