Actress Arrested After Train Coach Dispute

Actress Antara Banerjee was arrested after an alleged confrontation on the Aravali Express on August 12. The incident occurred while she was traveling towards Surat. Reports indicate a dispute arose because Banerjee, holding a sleeper-class ticket, was in a reserved AC coach.

Railway officials and the Railway Protection Force intervened in the escalating disagreement. According to police, the situation worsened when Banerjee allegedly used abusive language and produced a razor blade, reportedly injuring an official. She was deboarded at Dahanu and taken into custody. An FIR was registered on August 13 for assault and endangering safety.

Banerjee, known for her roles in Hindi television and films like 'Badho Bahu' and 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay,' was later released on bail. The actress, who also has a background in Kathak dance and classical singing, began her career in television and later transitioned to films.
