Actress Ali Larter, 49, is in the best shape of her life as she stars in the hit TV series Landman. Larter, who plays the role of Angela, the sexy ex-wife of a character played by Billy Bob Thornton, puts in an intense amount of work to maintain her physique for the show.
Larter wakes up at 4:30 am on Mondays to go for a 30-minute run, and she also does a lot of strength training. She follows a high-protein diet, describing herself as a "protein mommy" who eats protein all day long. Larter says this regimen "works" for her.
While the physical training is important, Larter admits that the mental aspect is just as crucial. "In the end, anytime you have to put on a bathing suit and walk in front of anybody, it's really difficult," she says. However, Larter has learned to "own" her sexy image, believing that the "sexiest women" are those who embrace it.

When filming scenes where she may feel more exposed, Larter says she doesn't allow any insecurity to creep in. "I wouldn't be able to do it if I allowed insecurity to creep in," she explains. Larter believes that true sexiness comes from owning it on the inside as well as the outside.
When Larter is not filming the show in Fort Worth, Texas, she takes her time off seriously. She says she "falls apart on the weekends," sleeping up to 12 hours a day. Larter recently relocated from Hollywood to the mountains of Idaho, where she enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle with her family.
