He died on November 29 at a hospital in Yangpyeong County, as confirmed by the Korean Actor's Association, leaving a void in the entertainment world. His funeral service was held on December 1 at Hanyang University Hospital Funeral Hall in Seoul, with colleagues and family in attendance.
Born in Yangpyeong-gun in 1949, Lee Moon Soo initially worked as a civil servant before pursuing his passion for acting. He joined the National Theatre Company of Korea in 1989, embarking on a career that spanned both stage and screen. His dedication and talent were evident in numerous productions throughout his career.
Lee Moon Soo's versatile performances graced many well-known films and dramas, including 'Hello Ghost', 'Beyond the Years', and the widely popular television series 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God' (Goblin), 'Ghost Doctor', and 'Rookie Cops'. His final role was in the 2022 Coupang Play drama 'Unicorn', marking the end of a distinguished acting journey.
