Actor Aashiesh Sharrma Turns Producer with New OTT Show 'Jamai Raja'

As of November 12th, 2025, actor Aashiesh Sharrma, known for his roles in shows like 'Siya Ke Ram' and 'Chandragupta Maurya', has transitioned into production. His new OTT project, titled 'Jamai Raja', features Rahul Roy, the star of the iconic film 'Aashiqui', in a key role.

Aashiesh's experience as an actor has significantly shaped his approach to production. He explains, "When you've lived most of your life in front of the camera, you become very aware of what an actor needs -- space, sensitivity, rhythm, and emotional trust." Aashiesh and his wife Archana have ensured that their production sets are actor-friendly and performance-focused, curating strong heads of departments while also bringing in young, emerging creative talent and empowering them to contribute, not just execute.

Rahul Roy, who became a household name after 'Aashiqui', shares that his character in 'Jamai Raja' offers something very different. "The story is not just about love; it's about family, pride, and the bond between a father and son. My character, Suryaveer Rathod, is a strong royal who has everything but still feels incomplete without his son. The emotions are deeper and more complex this time, and that's what made the role interesting for me."
