The messages warned of UBA's complicity in covering up a chemical company's hazardous impact on a local community, leading Bradley and Chip (Mark Duplass) to investigate further.
Their investigation has uncovered a former UBA executive, Bethanne Hines, who received a $2 million payout when a story about the Wolf River incident was nixed. Chip and Bradley are now digging deeper into UBA's past, with Claire's help, to uncover the truth behind the network's actions.
The resurfacing of Claire, a character with a clear "axe to grind" after her failed lawsuit against UBA, has added a new layer of intrigue to the show's exploration of corporate corruption and the fight against climate change.
