Vice Media's Eddy Moretti Joins Nonfiction Studio Laugh Cry Wow

In November 2025, the nonfiction studio Laugh Cry Wow, launched earlier this year by Jami Gertz and Bayan Joonam, has made its first major hire. The company has brought on Eddy Moretti as its new Executive Producer.

Moretti is a highly respected and prolific producer of film and television. He is best known for his two-decade tenure as the Chief Creative Officer at Vice Media, where he produced hundreds of hours of programming, including dozens of feature films. In his new role at Laugh Cry Wow, Moretti will collaborate closely with the company's creative and development teams to help craft bold, original stories that challenge conventions and resonate with audiences across platforms. He will also lead Laugh Cry Wow's efforts to build and integrate key strategic brand partnerships.

Joonam expressed his excitement about Moretti joining the team, stating that his "innovative approach to storytelling is exactly what we are looking for here as the nonfiction space evolves."
