AGC Television, the scripted television division of AGC Studios, has recently added the six-episode Lithuanian-German crime-mystery series 'A Wolf's Prey' to its distribution slate. The show, which is currently in post-production, is being introduced to international buyers at Mipcom.
The series follows a determined female detective who is thrust into a case when a young woman is brutally murdered in a remote town. As she delves deeper into the mystery, the town's darkest secrets begin to unravel. Director-writer Emilis Velyvis has aimed to create a story that combines mythology, the ideas of renowned psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung, and the darkest desires and sins of humanity, drawing comparisons to the legendary international success of David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks'.
The series boasts a talented cast, including Edward Holcroft ('Kingsman: The Secret Service'), Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė ('Mission Impossible'), Agnė Šataitė ('Provisionally Yours'), Tommi Korpela ('Omerta 12/6'), and Ieva Andrejevaitė ('Tetris'). The production is a collaboration between Lithuanian production company Kino Kultas and German company Kodachrome, with backing from the Lithuanian Film Centre, private investors, the Lithuanian National broadcaster LRT, and Telia Play.
