In a major move, acclaimed writer and producer Kelvin Yu has signed a multi-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. As of November 6th, 2025, Yu will be developing and producing scripted comedy, drama, and animated series for the independent studio.

Yu is renowned for his work on the hit Fox animated series "Bob's Burgers," having shared in the show's win for best animated program at the 2017 Emmy Awards. He has also been part of the show's producing team that has received seven nominations in the category in total.
