Academy Appoints New Committee Leaders for 2026-27

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced leadership appointments for its 2026-27 committees. Over four dozen members, including prominent directors, producers, and actors, have been selected to chair or co-chair various branches and committees.
Sean Baker and Samantha Quan will co-chair the Academy Marquee Theater Committee, while Michèle Ohayon and James Wilson will lead the International Feature Film Executive Committee. The Scientific and Technical Awards Executive Committee will be co-chaired by Darin Grant and Rachel Rose.
Membership committees will see Rita Wilson chairing the Actors Branch Executive Committee, among many others. Rita Wilson, Marlon West, and Kim Taylor-Coleman are among those appointed to lead executive committees across diverse branches. International engagement and regional committees in London and New York will also have new leadership.
Affinity groups, focusing on representation and community, have also announced their chairs and vice chairs. The Academy Foundation committees, including those overseeing the Museum Inclusion Advisory, Student Academy Awards, and Nicholl Fellowships, are also under new guidance.
