Aayush Sharma: Marriage to Arpita Khan is Not for Bollywood

Aayush Sharma has candidly discussed the persistent speculation surrounding his marriage to Arpita Khan Sharma, Salman Khan's sister. Married since 2014, Sharma, then 24, faced assumptions that his union was a strategic move for Bollywood access. Now, over 11 years later, with two children, he states these perceptions continue to affect him, though he has learned to respond with humor.

Sharma shared in a recent interview that comments about his intentions behind marrying Arpita initially hurt him. However, after 11 years of marriage and only three films released, none of which were blockbusters, he feels there's no actual link between his career and family. He emphasized that reacting to such accusations would disrespect his marriage and he has no need to justify his relationship to anyone.

During the same conversation, Sharma also elaborated on his relationship with his in-laws. While he addresses Salman Khan as 'Bhai,' he admitted to never calling veteran screenwriter Salim Khan 'Dad,' despite encouragement. Sharma holds Salim Khan in such high regard for his legendary writing career that he prefers to address him as 'Salim Sahab.'

Arpita Khan Sharma, adopted daughter of Salim Khan and Helen, married Aayush Sharma in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad in 2014. They are parents to son Ahil and daughter Ayat. Aayush himself comes from a prominent political family in Himachal Pradesh.
