At the Annecy Animation Film Festival, Aardman celebrated its rich history and revealed a promising future, showcasing new projects and its iconic clay animation.
Co-founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton, alongside director Nick Park, presented "Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd and Pichu." This new series, a collaboration with The Pokémon Company, features Aardman's signature claymation blended with cutting-edge special effects, set in the Galar region.
The studio also announced "Let's Go Timmy!," a new stop-motion and 2D animated series, and confirmed the upcoming theatrical release of "The Beast of Mossy Bottom," the third "Shaun the Sheep" feature film in September. Another project, "The Almost (Untold) Story Of Danger Delilah," adapted from Oliver Jeffers' book, is also in development.
Further highlighting its commitment to craft, Aardman announced a new Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at London's Royal College of Art, commencing soon. The studio emphasized its enduring dedication to the love of the craft, a principle that has guided its award-winning productions for over 50 years.
