Aamir and Salman Khan Reunite for 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' in 2025

Summary
- Aamir Khan and Salman Khan open to returning for 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' sequel
- Original director Rajkumar Santoshi developing script, but film only greenlit if both actors approve
- Original film's producers' children clarify rights ownership

As of November 2025, the long-awaited sequel to the 1994 comedy classic 'Andaz Apna Apna' is inching closer to reality. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, who played the iconic roles of Amar and Prem in the original, have expressed their willingness to reprise their characters, but with a major caveat.
The two Bollywood superstars have made it clear that they will only agree to the project if director Rajkumar Santoshi, who helmed the first film, delivers a script that they both fully approve of. Santoshi is currently working on developing a version of 'Andaz Apna Apna 2', but the project remains in the early stages.
Interestingly, the sequel conversation has reignited after a previous plan in 2019 to reboot the film with Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. That idea, however, never materialized. Now, with Aamir and Salman on board, fans are eagerly awaiting to see if the dynamic duo will reunite on the big screen once again.
Meanwhile, the children of the original film's producers, Vinay Kumar Sinha, have stepped in to clarify the rights ownership. They have stated that Aamir was never a producer on 'Andaz Apna Apna' and that they have no plans to sell the rights to either Aamir or Rajkumar Santoshi.
