Junaid Khan recently spoke about the box office performance of his film Ek Din, admitting it failed to resonate with a majority of the audience.
During a conversation on Vickey Lalwani's YouTube channel, Junaid expressed that while the film had its admirers, its commercial success fell short of expectations. He described the situation with a calm perspective, stating that it's common for films to not find wide acceptance despite the team's hopes.
When questioned about his father Aamir Khan's reaction, Junaid revealed that Aamir Khan is still deeply affected by the film's failure. He noted that his father tends to take film disappointments personally, especially when he personally connects with the project. However, Aamir Khan continues to stay busy and resilient.
Ek Din, a romantic drama directed by Sunil Pandey, also served as Sai Pallavi's Bollywood debut and Junaid Khan's second theatrical release. The film, an adaptation of the 2016 Thai movie One Day, received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Looking ahead, Junaid Khan is reportedly slated to star in Ragini MMS 3 opposite Tamannaah Bhatia, though this project has yet to commence production.
