Khan Slams 'Ungraceful' Streaming vs. Theater Divide

Aamir Khan has aligned with Leonardo DiCaprio's concerns about the diminishing theatrical window due to the rise of streaming services. Khan stated that the present relationship between cinemas and OTT platforms is not a 'graceful compromise.' He expressed that this issue affects producers across the industry, not just in Hindi cinema but also in the South Indian film industry.

Khan stressed the importance of safeguarding theatrical releases for the business to remain healthy. He suggested that a one-size-fits-all approach to film releases is inadequate. Instead, he proposed that different types of films require distinct release strategies. Mainstream and large-scale productions might benefit from longer theatrical windows, while smaller, experimental films could adopt shorter ones, indicating a need for a flexible model.
