Summary
- 9-year-old Eric Wiltz has been singing since age 1
- Viral TikTok video led to acting opportunities and Wicked premiere invite
- Excited to meet Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande at the premiere

In November 2025, 9-year-old Eric Wiltz is set to attend the highly anticipated New York City premiere of the Wicked movie adaptation. This exciting milestone comes just over a month after a video of Eric singing a pitch-perfect rendition of "The Wizard and I" from the musical went viral on TikTok, amassing over 5 million views.
Eric's love of music began at a very young age - his mother Cherisse says he was humming and singing before he could even talk. By age 2, Eric's grandma realized he could hum the exact pitches of the notes he heard. Now, the young prodigy spends his free time binge-watching music videos and singing himself to sleep.
The Wicked movie has become a particular obsession for Eric. After seeing the blockbuster musical at a friend's birthday party, he and his mom started watching it repeatedly, with Eric meticulously studying the lyrics, melodies, and Cynthia Erivo's vocal inflections. When Cherisse captured Eric's impromptu performance and shared it online, it caught the attention of Erivo herself, who expressed excitement to see Eric on stage or screen one day.
Since then, Eric's life has been a whirlwind. He signed with an agent, started filming auditions for an upcoming movie role, and received an invitation to the Wicked premiere. Eric is thrilled, if a bit overwhelmed, by the sudden opportunities. "If the Wicked premiere is where it stops, we are thankful and it's been a heck of a journey," says Cherisse. But the 9-year-old is already dreaming of the day he can buy his mom a pink Barbie Dreamhouse with the money he earns.
