- The 6666 project was shifted from Paramount+ to Paramount Network.
Taylor Sheridan has addressed speculation surrounding the "6666" spinoff, a project announced in 2021 as part of a creative deal with Paramount+. Sheridan stated on the Rodeo Time Podcast that he never intended to create a fictionalized series about the historic ranch's staff, suggesting the news was driven by online clickbait after Jimmy Hurdstrom's storyline was introduced.
This statement contradicts earlier official announcements from Paramount+, which confirmed "6666" as a forthcoming show with Jefferson White's Jimmy Hurdstrom slated to star. The project was even shifted from Paramount+ to the Paramount Network in May 2022. Despite Sheridan's current stance, the formal announcement and subsequent press releases indicate a confirmed project that has since failed to materialize.
