The reference to 50 Cent comes in the sixth track, "Ruin the Friendship," where the lyrics state: "And it was not an invitation / But as the 50 Cent song played (Song played) / Should've kissed you anyway (Anyway) / And it was not (And it was not) convenient (Convenient), no / Would've been the best mistake / Should've kissed you anyway, hey-ey."
In a recent interview, Swift expressed joy and lack of "twisted, tortured" feelings about the new album, saying it reflects her life at the time of writing it, unlike her previous release which had a significant lag between writing and release.
