According to the box office data, the clear winner is DC's Superman reboot, directed by James Gunn. The film has earned 2.7 times its budget, making it the most profitable superhero movie of the year so far.
Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Captain America: Brave New World have also performed well, earning 2.6x and 2.3x their respective budgets. Thunderbolts, the third Marvel release, rounds out the top four with a 2.1x return on investment.
