Film '120 Bahadur' Credits All 120 Soldiers After Court Ruling

Producers of the upcoming film '120 Bahadur' have assured the Delhi High Court that they will feature all 120 soldiers from the Kumaon regiment in the movie's end credits. This decision follows a public interest litigation highlighting concerns that the film might distort the historical narrative of the 1962 Battle of Rezang La.

The litigation, filed by the Sanyukt Ahir Regiment Morcha, contended that the film's primary focus on a single hero undermined the significant contributions and sacrifices of the predominantly Ahir (Yadav) soldiers. They sought not only factual corrections but also a potential title change to reflect the broader regimental sacrifice.

While the court acknowledged the film's impending release, it declined to alter the title but ruled that the names of all 120 soldiers must be included in the end credits. This directive ensures that the collective bravery and sacrifice of these soldiers are properly honored in both theatrical and digital releases.
