Oz Star Survives Plane Crash, Turns 107

Actress Caren Marsh Doll, a remarkable figure in Hollywood history, recently celebrated her 107th birthday. Her career boasts appearances in seminal films such as "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz." For her role as Judy Garland's stand-in in "The Wizard of Oz," she received her own pair of ruby slippers.

Doll's life also includes surviving a near-fatal plane crash on July 12, 1949. As one of only 13 survivors from a Standard Airlines C-46 crash in California, which claimed 35 lives, she endured a crushed foot. Despite a doctor's prognosis that she would never dance again, Doll's determination led her to refuse to accept this limitation.
