UK Weather Alert: Rain to Replace Warm Spell
27 Apr
Summary
- Unsettled weather with showers and rain is forecast.
- Temperatures will remain near or above normal.
- Strong winds and morning fog are also possible.

Britain's current warm spell is set to be temporarily interrupted by rain and unsettled weather conditions, according to the Met Office. Many areas experiencing dry weather will soon face more changeable conditions, bringing an increased likelihood of showers and extended periods of rain.
Sunshine and dry intervals are still anticipated, but they will be interspersed with passing showers. Some regions may experience early morning fog. Temperatures are predicted to remain near or slightly above average during the May 1 to May 10 period and are expected to rise further as June approaches.
Towards the middle and latter half of May, the Met Office forecasts a greater chance of showers or prolonged rain, potentially heavy in some locations, accompanied by the risk of strong winds. This week also includes a colder, more unsettled spell before temperatures rise again by Wednesday.
