These temperatures are well above the seasonal average, indicated by deep red on anomaly maps. The Met Office forecasts a mixed bag for the week, with rain in the north and west on Wednesday, but drier, sunnier spells in the southeast. Thursday is expected to be wetter and windier for all, followed by cooler conditions with sunshine and showers on Friday. Looking ahead to early March, changeable Atlantic systems are anticipated, bringing the heaviest rain to the northwest and drier interludes, especially in the east.
