UK Braces for Scorching Mini Heat Blast This Weekend

Following the lingering effects of the ferocious Storm Floris, which brought hurricane-force winds and record rainfall to many northern regions, forecasters are now predicting a warm and sunny weekend ahead. Temperatures are expected to reach a balmy 25°C in London and the southeast, with other parts of the country, including Birmingham, Newtown, and Exeter, also set to experience highs in the mid-20s.

However, the real surge in temperatures is expected to begin on Monday, with the mercury potentially reaching 27°C in London, Swindon, and Birmingham. The south of England is set to bear the brunt of the heat, with reports of 28°C in some areas.

But the good news doesn't end there. Weather watchers believe that just days later, on Saturday, August 16th, Brits are in for another heatwave, with temperatures potentially reaching nearly 40°C in parts of the country. The Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, and North Wales regions are expected to be the most impacted, with highs of 36°C predicted in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Hampshire.
