Storm Ingrid is forecasted to bring significant rainfall and strong winds to Britain beginning Friday, with a yellow weather warning in effect until Saturday morning. The Met Office anticipates up to 1.6 inches (40mm) of rain and gusts reaching 60mph, particularly in Wales and southwest England.
These regions are still dealing with the aftermath of Storm Goretti, which caused deadly gales and widespread disruption earlier in January. Residents in Cornwall experienced power cuts and fallen trees.
Forecasters are also monitoring the potential for wintry hazards, including snow, in the north and east of England next week, with cold weather expected.
